I am a little behind in blogging. I can't believe the month of September is over. Seriously, it is really over?
Our little man turned one in August and we went with Kathie and Lex to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. Gavin loved the fish! Then a few days later, we had his "party" and fish cake. The cake was a huge hit!

2012 MOPS Convention
I was blessed to attend the 2012 MOPS Convention in Dallas with 2 of my friends. This was my third convention and as with the other ones this one was fuel for the tired mommas soul. Beautiful worship music, uplifting-inspirational speakers, and a chance to strengthen old friendships and meet new friends. A few of my favorite parts were the Matthew West concert and the Shauna Niequest (author) workshop on being creative. Along with getting to hang out with some fellow Florida MOPS moms.

Curious Grant
The daycare down the road hosted a Curious George story time this morning. Jake was in Orlando for work, so I took the boys. They started with coloring sheets and face paint, then story time, snack, and of course the main event getting to meet George. Gavin was more interested in being curious, resulting in a plant getting knocked over and dirt all over the lobby. But Grant totally loved getting to meet George and spent the rest of the afternoon reading and watching George.

Swim Lessons
Grant spent the last 2 weeks in swimming lessons held at UF. He far exceeded my expectations and by the end was floating on his back, going underwater, and kicking. Best of all he LOVED it! And it is pretty cool to think that Olympic champions (including Ryan Lochte) have swam in that pool.

Glazer Children's Museum
A few weeks ago, we took the boys down to Tampa to the Glazer Children's Museum. We have been blessed to visit children's museums across the country with our kids. Although we have favorite ones, we have never been disappointed when taking our kids and this was no exception. The boys loved it!
We had a Cuban sandwich for lunch at a place that had been featured on "Man versus Food". And ended the day by stopping for some chocolate. Fun, family day!
