Kite

Nana and Papa gave Grant his first kite for his birthday. We had a little bit of a breeze the other night, so we took him outside to give it a try. He didn't do too bad for a 3 year old!

Touch a Truck

We took the boys to an annual event on town called Touch a Truck. It is free admission, and benefits the Children's Miracle Network. We went first thing in the morning, because the first hour is "quiet time", with no loud noises so the littlest kiddos can enjoy the event (Grant however did find the siren button on the police motorcycle.)

Grant got to be up close, sit in, and touch all kinds of cool vehicles. And got some fun giveaways like coloring books, stickers, and a new bike helmet.

This was our first time being able to go, and we will definitely be going back!!

9 months old

I can hardly believe that Gavin is already 9 months old. He weighed. 21lbs 1oz at his check up and was 29 inches. Healthy baby! He has 5 teeth, with the 6th one being really close. He is efficient at cruising and getting better everyday with his walker. His balance is incredible, and I suspect he will be an early walker!

Garden Success!

We have zucchini and cucumbers! Our garden is doing great this year. We have enjoyed fresh cucumber slices along with zucchini bars and bread. Yum!

Moonlight Walk

Last Saturday night we attended the annual Moonlight walk at the botanical gardens down the road. We attend a support group for parents who have lost children and two mothers in the group have gardens dedicated in memory of their children there, so it is a place that is very special to us. The night was gorgeous! The most incredible sunset. Grant loved looking through the telescopes from an area astronomy club that was set up. He especially loved running through the labyrinth. He ran with such ease, and filled with complete joy. Fun night!

Bowling

I have been way negligent in posting lately. There has been a lot going on. I will attempt to catch up on some of the highlights.

I took Grant bowling today for the first time. We went with my friend, Jennifer and her two girls, Delia and PJ. Grant had a blast! (And the little toddler bowling shoes are super cute.) Grant wants Daddy to come next time. We may have to take advantage of the kids bowl free deal over the summer.
