Angel Day

I can hardly believe Ethan has been gone for 3 years, but it is true.

We decided to spend his Angel Day in the mountains in northern Georgia. We stayed at a gorgeous state park at Amicalola Falls. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the mountains from our private balcony, climbing 604 steps down to the base of the waterfall (and back up), geocaching, and overall just spending quiet time as a family.

Grant surprised us the first night (eve of E's Angel Day), when he asked us some tough questions. He was looking through pictures on my I-pad when he started laughing at a picture of Ethan with a bowl on his head. "Look Mommy it's 'avin". I told him it was Ethan. Then he said "Ethan was in our house?". After looking through lots of pictures and talking with him, he then asked if I would take him to see Ethan. There just aren't words to properly express the heartache that remains in our family, but that is as close as I can come. We all miss him.
