Welcome!

I have wanted to start a new blog for quite some time. I started our old family blog in September 2008, shortly after finding out we were expecting our second child. Well a lot has happened and changed in our family since then. Life didn't quite turn out the way we had expected. On March 28, 2009 when I was 36 weeks pregnant, we very unexpectedly lost our oldest son, Ethan. He was 2 years old. Just 20 days later, I gave birth to our second child, Grant. Our lives forever changed in the blink of an eye. I blogged off and on after that, but it never felt right to write on that space. I was a different writer, mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, etc. I was different. Our family was different. When I would write on that space it was like I was writing on a blog that belonged to someone else. So here I am sharing with you on a new space all that our family is today. All the life and joy that still remains in our house and my journey as a mother who misses dearly an incredible little boy who has changed our world.
